2024-07 (Icehouse) Release
Template Studio
Improved template translation workflow
You can now edit template translation fields from the template editor page as well as the asset settings page to make it easier to input and edit translations while creating a template. You can also set the template language in Edit mode to easily preview how your translations look in the template.
Amendments to template editor terminology
We've made a few changes to the names of the tabs in the property section of the editor. 'General' is now 'Properties', 'Permissions' is now 'Options', and 'Content' is now 'Style'.
Change to default permissions mode
The default mode for element options (previously permissions) is now Standard (previously enhanced) to enhance the end user and inline experience for configuring templates.
User attribute panel
You can now link user attributes such as name, telephone number and email address directly to elements in your template without the need to add logic.
Inline editing in kits
The option to use inline editing text and image elements in kits is now supported. By enabling the Apply to kit option, any text entered, or images selected during configuration can be applied to all other items in the kit.
Hints and validation for inline editing
You can now add hints to text and image elements when building inline editing templates to guide users configuring the template. You can also add required field validation for inline text elements.
Platform
Allow Partner support details to be displayed to a user
The print partner configuration functionality has been enhanced to allow for the following support contact details to be entered and stored for a partner by the administrator:
- Support Name
- Support Email
- Support Phone
When a print order is submitted and becomes visible on the Order History page, the user will see an “i” icon against the item. When clicked, the relevant print partner support contact details will be displayed.
Ability to define a Template Studio page and show this in the Header bar
When a new account is created, a Template Studio page is now automatically created (along with the Home page). This new page is marked as a “Primary” page.
The sub-page functionality has been enhanced to allow for up to 5 pages to be marked as “Primary” pages and assigned an icon. Any page marked as a “Primary” page will appear as an icon in the Header bar next to the home and asset library icons. A “Primary” page will also appear at the top of the “My Account” list of options, under the home and asset library entries.
Hide/show Order History / Download History on Header bar
The order history icon (and download history icon - if this functionality is being used) is no longer automatically shown in the Header bar. The ability to access this functionality is available via the “My Account” list of options. However, if these options must appear in the Header bar, then there is an administrator option in the General settings of Manage UI to enable this.
Matching Partner Attribute functionality
The Partner attribute (order questions) configuration has been enhanced to enable these questions to be associated with a specific asset type or visible on all types (as now). In addition, the logic when displaying these attributes (order questions) has been enhanced, whenever the ordered asset has the same attribute being used as the partner attribute:
- List Attributes: Only show the attribute entries which have been tagged on the asset (i.e. not the full list of available entries) for the user to choose from. If only one entry is tagged on the asset, then use this value for the partner attribute value.
- Other Attribute types: Populate the partner attribute with the asset attribute value (if this has a value).
Link to the Release notes
A new “Release Notes” link has been added to the list of options shown when the page footer “Help” is clicked.
When this is selected, the Release notes documentation is displayed, with details for each release.
"Play" settings available for Video and Audio files being displayed via an "Image section" on a sub-page.
If a video or audio file is uploaded into an image section within Manage UI, then a new “Options” setting is made available. This allows the administrator to control the play/mute settings of the video or audio file, when the image section is included/displayed on a sub-page.
