Mass Customization
Note: To activate this feature, contact Elateral.
Using the Mass Customization feature, you can generate and view multiple outputs from a campaign quickly and easily. You can select your preferred size formats and then answer the template questions to create as many output variants as required.
Note: You can create multiple outputs using print templates and HTML templates.
Enabling Mass Customization for a campaign
Before you begin, Mass Customization must be enabled for a campaign. This is denoted by the icon, on the campaign tile.
Contact your system administrator to configure this.
Using Mass Customization for a campaign
To create multiple outputs from a campaign at the same time:

On the required campaign tile, select the icon. A list of available format sizes is displayed.

Select the output sizes you want to create or select All Sizes.
- Select . A table with data rows is displayed, containing answers to the template questions. Above the table, a counter shows the number of outputs that will be created**.**

Answer the questions in the table.

If required, add more rows to the table.

Select to add a new row based on the first row.

Select for a row and select Duplicate to add a new row based on the selected row. Each time you add a new row in the table, the number of outputs increases. For example, if you selected five output sizes and have one row in the table, the system creates five outputs using that information. If you have two rows in the table, the system creates ten outputs.

If you added new rows, complete the table as necessary.

If you need to delete a row, select in a row, and select Delete.
You can also maintain and update the selected rows offline using an Excel spreadsheet.

To download an Excel spreadsheet containing details of the current rows, select .

To upload an Excel spreadsheet with the rows that you require (including rows added or edited), select .
Viewing the Mass Customization output
To generate and view the mass customization output:
- Once all table entries are complete or after uploading your spreadsheet, select . A preview for each of the requested output types and their different sizes is displayed.

To preview an item in full size:
- Select in its upper right corner and select Preview. A fly-out opens with the preview of the item.
- To move between items, select or .
- To restart an animation preview:

For an entire row of items, select .

For a single item, hover over an item.

To cancel a selection:
-
For an entire row of items, select next to the row number. The row becomes grayed out.

For a single item, hover over an item and select in its upper left corner. The item becomes grayed out. Note: By default, all the created outputs are selected.

Ordering the Mass Customization output
To order the mass customization output:
- Once you are happy with your selected items, select . The order summary is displayed.
From the drop-down list, select the Delivery Method. Note: If there is only one delivery method available, Delivery Method cannot be changed.
- From the drop-down list, select the Output File Type.
Note: If there is only one output file type available, Output File Type cannot be changed.
- For digital output file types, select the Color Profile.
- Select Build. The Building... progress bar is shown.

If you want to stop the build, select Stop next to the progress bar, then select Yes to confirm.

Once all items have been built, the order confirmation is displayed:
Placing an Order
Viewing Your Cart
You can access the cart from every page. The cart icon shows a count of the number of items you have in your cart.

Select the cart icon to view your cart (otherwise you will go directly to the cart after adding an item or a campaign kit of items).

You will see both your configured kits and single items.
For each single configured item, you will see the following:

Thumbnail image of your configured item
-
Item name
-
Type of item (colored lozenge)
-
Configuration ID
-
Customer name (if applicable)
-
Outlet name (if applicable)
For Print items:
-
Printer name
-
Print delivery details
-
Output type
-
Quantity
-
Comments (if available)
-
Printer attributes
For Digital items:

Email delivery address
-
Output type
-
Comments (if available)
For kits you will also see:
-
Thumbnail of the campaign
-
Name of the kit
-
Number of items within the kit.

When viewing a kit, click the arrow to expand/collapse it to show the individual kit items.

Click the Delete icon to remove a kit or single configured item from the cart. You will lose the configuration if you do not have a saved copy in your My Saved Items.

Alternatively, click the Move to Saved Items icon }if you wish to keep the configuration and order it later.
Editing an Item from Your Cart

Click the Edit pencil against a kit or single configured item if you wish to reconfigure it.

Make your changes to the configuration, including adding/removing items into your kit.

Click Save to Cart to save the updated items back into the cart.
Note: When you edit an item from your cart, this triggers the Validation process. If any of the assets used in the design have changed since the last time the design was opened, you will be notified via the validation summary icon at the foot of the preview panel. For more information, see 3.8 Validation Process.
Changing the Other Cart Item Details
Print Item Details
Click the Change option against a print item to change or update the following:

Change the printer.

Change the Output Type (if available)
-
Change the quantity
-
Add or edit a comment (if available)
-
Choose or change the Customer Contact (optional)

Choose or change the Approver (if the available).
Digital Item Details
Click the Change option against a digital item to change or update the following:

Change the Output Type (if available)
-
Change the Send to details
-
Add or edit a comment (if available)
-
Choose or change the Customer Contact (optional)

Choose or change the Approver (if the available).
Checkout
Click the Checkout button once you are happy with your cart items and wish to order them.
Note: If the items in the cart cannot be ordered, then appropriate warning icons are shown. This may be because a delivery address for an item is not populated, or a selected asset is no longer valid.
Invalid Asset Selection
On the Checkout page, if a cart item contains an invalid asset selection, then the Checkout button is disabled and a notification icon is shown against the affected item with the following message
The item must be reconfigured, and the invalid asset selection corrected, and the item saved back to the cart before you are allowed to complete the checkout of your items.
Changing Delivery Address
On the Cart page, any item missing a delivery address is highlighted with a warning icon . This can be corrected on the Checkout page.
The following notification is shown at the top of the Checkout page
And any item missing a delivery address has the following change option:

Click Change within the Delivery Address box.

Either:

Choose an address from your Address Book
-
Click the tab Other Address and complete the required address fields. Note: The entered Other Address will not be saved to your address book.
Submitting an Order

On completion of all required information the Place Order button will be enabled. Click Place Order to submit your cart for processing.

You will shortly receive an email with details of your order, and you can check the status of your order from My Orders.

For any print items, the nominated print partner will also receive a similar email containing all the necessary information to fulfil your order.
Order Approvals
Your order may require approval before it can be processed and completed. If this is the case, then your submitted order will show as: Waiting Approval by username (or approval_step_name if this applies) on the My Orders page:
Once approved, the status will be changed to completed and delivered appropriately.
If an order is rejected, then you can see the reason by hovering on the comment icon, as shown below:
Choosing the Approver
For some orders, you may be required to choose the approver.
- In the Order Now or Add to Cart fly-out, select an approver from the Approver drop-down list.
Note: The Approver field is a required field.
