Searching (Original UI)
Brandgility features a powerful Search tool that lets you quickly find the right content.
Accessing Search
You can access Search from any Brandgility page:
- In the top right corner, select .
You can also run a specific search directly from any Brandgility page:

In the top right corner, enter a search term into the search box.

Select , or press Enter.
Searching by Keyword
You can search for content by keywords or keyphrases.
For example, you can enter:
Keyword type | Example | Result |
---|---|---|
A single keyword | spring | Items containing the spring keyword. |
Multiple keywords | spring summer | Items containing the spring keyword and items containing the summer keyword. |
A question mark | spring? | Items containing keywords such as spring1 or springs. The wildcard "?" character equates to a single character. |
An asterisk | spring* | Items containing keywords such as spring1, spring12, springs or springing. The wildcard "*" character equates to a sequence of characters. |
A quoted keyphrase | "spring summer" | Items containing the spring summer keyphrase. |
Viewing Your Search Results
By default, the Search page shows all content items that are available to you based on your role.
Note: If you see the Refresh Results button at the top of the Search page, it means that some of the items displayed have just been modified. Select Refresh Results to update your search results.
Note: The search time is displayed next to the number of matches.
To navigate the search result pages:
- At the top, select or .
In the top right corner, you can control how the Search results display:
To display the search results in list mode:
- Select .
To display the search results in tile mode:
- Select .
To change the number of items displayed on a single page:
- Select .
To sort the search results:

Select .

Select:

Name to sort the search results in alphabetical order.

Modified to show the last modified items first.
-
Relevancy to first show items that match your search keywords best.

Search Result Tiles
Each content item on the Search page can be one of the following types:
-
Template asset
-
Preconfigured asset
-
Static item
-
Library asset Note: Library assets that are used inside templates are not visible on the Search page. However, when a library asset is set as orderable, it is visible in the search results and behaves as a static item.

Configured Output asset
-
Campaign
-
Brief
To view additional information about a content item:
- On the required item's tile, select . Note: Customer users do not have access to the additional information panel.
When the asset is a Parent which has child assets, the following information is displayed about the children:

Configured output - this informs you that the child asset is added to a Collection

Preconfigured template - this informs you that the child asset is available on the search page.
You can click the asset name link to view the information flyout of the child asset.
On the child asset, the Parent asset is shown:
To view a content item summary:

Select any content item tile. A summary pane opens.

Select or to move between items.
To configure a Template:
- On the required Template tile, select .
Note: The price field is only visible to users when the Output Pricing module enabled. If you have Output Pricing switched on, select to see the details of the output spec that is assigned to the asset. For more information, see Configuring a Single Item
To open a Campaign:
- On the required Campaign tile, select Open.

To preview an item, select:

} to preview a static document, including a PDF.
You can then step through the document by using and .

} to preview a video or multimedia file:
To download a static item (only available if you have the My Downloads permission set):

On the required static item tile, select or .

The Preview page is displayed for the item.
- Select .
To delete a Preconfigured or Configured Output assets:
- On the required asset tile, select .
To add an item to a Collection, select . Note: You only see this option if the Collections module is enabled.
The Existing Collections window opens. You can either add the item to an existing collection or create a new Collection.
Filtering Your Search Results
On the Search page, you can apply filters to narrow down the search results.
You can apply multiple filters at once.
You can only see filters that are relevant to the currently displayed content.
To apply a filter:

On the left-hand side of the Search page, select a filter type.

Check the box next to the required filter. The filter gets applied to the search results.
To clear all filters:
- At the top, select Clear All.
The filters for Content Type and System Type always appear at the top.
Content Type lets you filter searches by the Campaign and Asset types.
Select to see individual Asset or Campaign filters:
System Type lets you filter searches by content formats, such as Campaigns, Templates, Preconfigured templates and Static items.
Select to see individual System Type filters:
Expire within only displays if the asset expiry date feature is activated. Search for those assets that have an expiry date within the selected number of days.
New within allows you to search for newly created assets. Search for those assets that were created within the selected number of days.
Saving Your Searches
You can save your search and filtering criteria, to quickly perform the same search again.
To save a search:

On the Search page, enter your search and filtering criteria.

The search results show on the Search page.

Below the search box, select Save Search.

On the Save Search panel, in Name, enter a meaningful name for your search.

Select Save.
Managing Your Saved Searches
You can manage your saved searches and select a default saved search that will always be applied when you open the Search page.
To view your saved searches:
- On the Search page, below the search field, select View Saved Searches.
A list of your saved searches displays:
To use a saved search:
- Click the name of the saved search.
To set the default search:
- In the required search row, select the Default checkbox.
To reorder your searches:

In the required search row, select and hold .

Drag and drop the row in the desired position.
To delete a search:
- In the required search row, select .
