Editing a Digital template
Use digital templates for online materials, such as website advertising banners.
In the properties pane, you can set the dimensions and color, and import existing designs.
Setting dimensions
Click on the canvas outside of the preview image to set the dimensions, in pixels, of the template with Width and Height.
Type the dimensions or set them with the up and down arrows.
The canvas pane changes to show the new dimensions.
Creating simple animations
When you have multiple pages in your digital template, Brandgility can turn them into a simple animation.
Note: To create more advanced animations, see section 3.10 Editing an Animated Digital template.
To add a new page:
- From the bar at the bottom of the screen, select . A new page is added to the template. Your digital template will now render as an animation made of all the template's pages.
To copy the page you are currently editing:
- From the bar at the bottom of the screen, select .
Setting canvas color and transparency
You can set the canvas color or choose to use a transparent canvas with the Fill option in the Properties pane. For example, when creating sub templates, it may be useful to set a transparent canvas.
To change the canvas color:

In the Style section, using the Fill option, select the color square.

The color drop-down is displayed.

Select the required color. The canvas background changes to the selected color.

Alternatively, you can type the hex color value into the Fill field in the properties pane:
To set a transparent canvas:
- In the Style section / Fill option, select the transparent canvas square.
Setting the Filename
By default, the order number and the item number are used as the filename for an order. You can change the default filename using the Filename field.
To set a custom filename:

In the Order Information section, in Filename, enter a filename.

Select Save.
In the custom filename, you can use the following notations:
[Fixed Text:]- To give the file a specific fixed name, for example MYNEWPROJECT, enter this text in the Filename field.
- To use the text answer to one of the questions as the filename, enter that question ID in the Filename field using the following notation: !questionID! i.e. !Question1!
By doing this, the filename will be set to the value of the text entered in that question's field.
[Configuration ID:]- To use the unique configuration ID number of a template as the filename, enter the following notation in the Filename field: $configurationid$.
Importing digital designs
Use the Import Design drop area on the Properties pane to import a Brandgility formatted file from an external source, for example, from another account, or from the Adobe product suite.
