Editing an Animated Digital template

Use an Animated Digital template to create a template with animated elements, such as text, images, and shapes.

The timeline at the bottom of the screen reflects the time of the animation that you can set in the template's properties. You can also use the timeline to schedule the behavior of elements while the animation is being played.

Setting dimensions and time

To configure the dimensions and the time of the animation:

  1. Set Width and Height (in pixels).

  2. Set Animation Time (in seconds).

  3. Select Loop playback checkbox if you want the animation to run in a loop.

Adding elements

The animated digital template allows you to add, edit, and animate elements. For example, you can add a text frame, resize it, select its position and set the animation properties of the text frame.

To add and an element to the template and configure it:

  1. In the top-left corner, select +. The Elements section is displayed.

  2. Select one of the following elements:

  • Text Frame

  • Image Frame

  • Rectangle

  • Ellipse

  1. In the properties pane, configure the element's properties. Note: To learn more about configuring the elements' properties, see 4 Elements.

  2. In the General tab, in the Animation section, select Add To Timeline.

The element is added to the timeline, as follows:

  1. Select the diamond-shaped button at the start or at the end of the yellow progress bar of the animated element. The button turns red and the Frame Panel is displayed on the right-hand side of the page.

  1. In the Frame Panel, set the animated element's properties.

  1. You can drag and drop the diamond-shaped buttons to set the start and the end of the animation for the selected element on the timeline.

  2. You can add multiple elements to the timeline and edit them separately.

  1. To preview your animation, do the following:
  • Select

    to start the animation preview.

    • Select

      to pause the animation preview.

    • Select

      to stop the animation preview.

  1. If you want to remove an element from the timeline, select next to its name, or select Remove From Timeline in the General tab.

  2. When you finish editing the element, select Close Frame Panel.
