Managing Output Specs

You can create output specs for a print partner and assign them to your assets to set a price for producing the print output. This allows the users to know the cost when they place a print order.

Note: You can only associate output specs to print outputs.

Note: To access this page, you need to have the Manage Output Specs in your role.

Creating a new Output Spec

To create a new output spec:

1. Select My Account > Manage Output Specs.

2. Select Add New Output Spec.

3. In Name, enter a name for your new output spec.

4. Optional: In Description, enter a summary of the output spec.

5. From the Printer drop-down list, select the partner.

6. In Print Code, enter the code that is used by the partner to identify the print request.

7. From the Pricing method drop-down list, select one of the following options:

• Select Unit Price if you want to set a fixed price for your asset.

• Select Price Breaks if you want to set prices depending on the quantities that a user wants to order:

  • If you choose to set price breaks, the Price Breaks panel appears at the bottom of the screen.

  • In Quantity Start and Quantity End, enter the minimum and the maximum number of items to which the price break applies.

  • In Price, enter the price that applies to the quantities set above.

  • If you want to add another price break, select in the upper left corner of the Price Breaks section.

• Select Box Price if you want to set prices for assets sold in boxes.

  • If you select Box Price, the Options section appears at the bottom of the screen.

  • Select to add a new box price. The Box Price panel appears.

• In Description, enter the number of items that are included in the box.

• In Price, enter the price that applies to the box set above.

• If you want to add another entry, select .

7. In Currency, select the appropriate currency.

8. In the top-right corner, select Create.

Assigning an Output Spec to an asset

To assign an output spec to an individual asset:

1. Select the Search option from My Account or select in the top right corner of a page.

2. On the Search page, find the asset you want to associate with an output spec.

3. Select the Edit this Asset on the asset tile.

4. In the Output Specs section, use the search box to find the output spec that you want to assign to the asset.

5. Assign the required output spec to the asset by selecting the checkbox next to its name. You can select one or more output specs to an asset.

6. In the top-right corner, select Save. The asset tile is now displayed on the Search page with a price assigned to it.

Note: The price will only be visible to the users with the Output Pricing module enabled.

7. Select to see the details of the output spec assigned to the asset.

To view the asset with an assigned output spec:

1. Select My Account > Manage Output Specs.

2. In the Associated Assets column of the required output spec, you can see the number of the assets the output spec is assigned to.

3. Select the number to view the assets that the output spec is assigned to.
