Getting Started

Logging In

By default, Brandgility uses an SSO (Single Sign On) system. If you need credentials, please ask your Brandgility system administrator, or contact Elateral.

Alternatively, you can use the Built-in login functionality, which allows a user to log in using their email address and a password. For details on changing these login settings, see Allowing Email Login.

The Home Page

The Home page has been designed to be easily customizable. You can return to it at any time by clicking the logo in the top left corner, or by selecting the My Account option and then Home.

Enabling the new user interface

Where there are Beta changes available to the Brandgility UI, you can enable these, as follows:

To enable the new user interface:

  1. Select My Account.

  2. In the drop-down, select the New UI toggle.

The user interface changes.

To go back to the old interface:

  • Select the New UI toggle.

Searching (new UI)

Note: This section applies only if you are using the new UI. For more information, see Enabling the new user interface.

Brandgility features a powerful Search tool that allows you to quickly find the right content.

Accessing Search

You can access Search from any Brandgility page:

  • In the top middle, select .

You can also run a specific search directly from any Brandgility page:

  1. In the top right corner, enter a search term into the search box.

  1. Select , or press Enter.

Searching by Keyword

You can search for content by keywords.

For example, you can enter:

Viewing Your Search Results

By default, the Search page shows all content items that are available to you based on your role.

Note: If you see the Refresh Results button at the top of the Search page, it means that some of the items displayed have just been modified. Select Refresh Results.

Note: The search time is displayed next to the number of matches.

To navigate the search result pages:

  • At the top, select or .

In the top right corner, you can control how the Search results display:

To change the number of items displayed on a single page:

  • Select .

To sort the search results:

  1. Select .

  2. Select one of the following:

    • Relevancy to first show items that match your search keywords best.

    • Name to sort the search results in alphabetical order.

    • Modified to show the last modified items first.

Search result tiles

Each content item on the Search page can be one of the following types:

  • Template asset

  • Sub Template asset

  • Preconfigured asset

  • Previously Ordered asset

  • Configured Output asset

  • Static item asset

  • Library asset

  • Campaign

  • Brief

  • Sub Brief

To view information about a content item:

  • To view key metadata, hover over .

  • For additional information about the item, select , or select , then select Details.

The details flyout opens.

When the asset is a Parent which has child assets, the following information is displayed about the children:

  • Configured output - this informs you that the child asset is added to a Collection

  • Preconfigured template - this informs you that the child asset is available on the search page.

You can click the asset name link to view the information flyout of the child asset.

On the child asset, the Parent asset is shown:

To configure a Template:

  1. On the required Template tile, select .

To open a Campaign:

  1. On the required Campaign tile, select .

To preview a static item, including videos and multimedia files:

  • On the required item tile, select , then select View. A screenshot of a computer Description automatically generated

    If the item has multiple pages, you can then step through the item by using and .

To download a static item (only available if you have the My Downloads permission set):

  1. On the required static item tile, select .

  2. Select View.

The Preview page displays for the item.

  1. Select .

  2. Select Download.

To delete a Preconfigured or Configured Output asset:

  1. On the required asset tile, select .

  2. Select Delete.

  3. In the popup, select Yes.

To add an item to a Collection:

  1. On the required tile, select .

  2. Select Add to Collection. Note: You only see this option if the Collections module is enabled.

The Existing Collections fly-out opens. You can either add the item to an existing collection or create a new Collection.

Filtering Your Search Results

On the Search page, you can apply filters to narrow down the search results.

You can apply multiple filters at once.

You can only see filters that are relevant to the currently displayed content.

To apply a filter:

  1. On the left-hand side of the Search page, select a filter type.

  2. Check the box next to the required filter. The filter gets applied to the search results.

To clear all filters:

  • At the top, select Clear All.

The filters for Content Type, Status and System Type always appear at the top.

Content Type allows you to filter searches by the Campaign or Asset types.

Select to see individual Campaign or Asset filters:

Status allows you to filter searches by the content's status:

  • Active (available to the user)

  • Inactive (unavailable to the user)

  • Expired (no longer available to the user after the expiry date/time is reached)

  • Being Created (unavailable to the user, asset not ready yet)

  • Being Updated (unavailable to the user, asset currently being updated)

  • Failed to update (unavailable to the user, the asset currently has an issue, please contact support)

System Type allows you to filter searches by content formats, such as Campaigns, Templates, Preconfigured templates and Static items.

Select to see individual System Type filters:

Expire Within only displays if you have activated the asset expiry date feature. Search for those assets that have an expiry date within the selected number of days.

New Within allows you to search for newly created assets. Search for those assets that were created within the selected number of days.

Saving Your Searches

You can save your search and filtering criteria, to quickly perform the same search again.

To save a search:

  1. On the Search page, enter your search and filtering criteria.

  2. The search results show on the Search page.

  4. On the Save Search panel, in Name, enter a meaningful name for your search.

  5. Select Save.

Managing Your Saved Searches

You can manage your saved searches and select a default saved search that will always be applied when you open the Search page.

To view your saved searches:

  • On the Search page, below the search field, select View Saved Searches.

To use a saved search:

  • Select the name of the saved search.

To set the default search:

  • In the required search row, select the Default checkbox.

To reorder your searches:

  1. In the required search row, select and hold .

  2. Drag and drop the row in the desired position.

To delete a search:

  1. In the required search row, select .

  2. In the pop-up menu, click Yes.

Searching (Original UI)

Brandgility features a powerful Search tool that allows you to quickly find the right content.

Accessing Search

You can access Search from any Brandgility page:

  • In the top right corner, select .

You can also run a specific search directly from any Brandgility page:

  1. In the top right corner, enter a search term into the search box.

  2. Select , or press Enter.

Searching by Keyword

Search result tiles

Each content item on the Search page can be one of the following types:

  • Template asset

  • Preconfigured asset

  • Previously Ordered asset

  • Configured Output asset

  • Static item asset

  • Library asset

  • Campaign

  • Brief

  • Sub Brief

To view additional information about a content item:

  • On the required item's tile, select .

When the asset is a Parent which has child assets, the following information is displayed about the children:

  • Configured output - this informs you that the child asset is added to a Collection

  • Preconfigured template - this informs you that the child asset is available on the search page.

You can click the asset name link to view the information flyout of the child asset.

On the child asset, the Parent asset is shown:

To view the content item summary for a tile:

  1. Select any content item tile. A summary pane opens.

  2. Select or to move between items.

To configure a Template:

  • On the required Template tile, select .

To open a Campaign:

  • On the required Campaign tile, select Open.

To preview a Static item, select:

  • to preview a static document, including a PDF.

    You can then step through the document by using and .

  • to preview a video or multimedia file:

To download a static item (only available if you have the My Downloads permission set):

  1. On the required static item tile, select } or }.

  2. The Preview page is displayed for the item.

To delete a Preconfigured or Configured Output assets:

  • On the required asset tile, select .

To add an item to a Collection, select . Note: You only see this option if the Collections module is enabled.

The Existing Collections window opens. You can either add the item to an existing collection or create a new Collection.

Filtering Your Search Results

On the Search page, you can apply filters to narrow down the search results.

To access the Training & Support section:

  1. From the footer bar, select Help. The list of available training and support sections is displayed.

  1. Select from the list, the required support section name.

The support section opens.

Logging Off

To log off from Brandgility, select the My Account option and then select Sign Out.
