Managing Preconfigured Templates

Managing Preconfigured Templates

As an administrator, you can create Preconfigured Templates i.e. templates that are configured to a pre-set starting point. These can then be accessed by users, who can adapt them further, as required.

Note: To use Preconfigured Templates, please contact Elateral to enable this module for you.

To create a Preconfigured Template:

  1. Locate the template and configure it as needed.

  2. Select Save.

  3. From the Save As panel, select Save as preconfigured.

Your Preconfigured Template is now visible to end users. The end users can locate and configure this template, starting from the point it was saved by the administrator.

Preconfigured Template attributes and status

The attributes and status of a Preconfigured Template are derived from the parent template. For example, if you change a template's status to Inactive, any related preconfigured templates will also become Inactive.

If you edit the metadata values associated to a parent template, its Preconfigured Template children will automatically inherit the same changes.
