Copying an Asset

You do not have to create an asset from scratch every time. You can instead save time by duplicating an existing asset and edit the copy. From the Search page, find the relevant asset and select Duplicate this Asset:

The Copy Asset window opens.

The Name of the duplicated asset is pre-filled but can be amended. The duplicated asset is pre-set to a Status of Inactive, but this can also be changed.

When you have finished making amendments, click Create. The duplicated asset is now displayed.

Note: A duplicated asset is not considered a Child of the original asset.
